This video represent a new wave in Internet marketing. It’s a wave that’s been predicted for some time and one that is just on the horizon. I think it’s a beautiful example of the power of online video marketing.

This video works because it is simple and straight to the point. Not too long. The setting is the natural work environment of the company. You can see the crates of supplies in the background. The speaker is casually dressed, no fancy get up. I can imagine that he dresses like this every day. He’s a down to earth kind of guy with a message – his message. No spokes model, just him and his company.

How much did it cost to produce this video? Probably not much. He didn’t have to rent a studio because he likely owns the warehouse. His wife or an employee could have used a hand held camcorder to record him going from one station to another explaining his business. Then, either he or an employee, probably uploaded it to Google Video. No expense other than the salary of the employee who helped him produce, record, and edit the video. That’s it. Instant marketing message, low cost, reaching millions of people online.

I don’t know if he put the video on his website too, but I would have. When will your company produce your first online marketing video?
