It's no secret that the folks at DMOZ are corrupt and should not be given any respect. Could the recent posts from well known blogger Shoemaker speaking about being bribed from editors at DMOZ to keep his site active, was the last straw? Or was this just another directory dump scheduled on it's way out due to Google's latest purge of directories from their SERP's?

Either way...DMOZ is not required any longer, and good riddance!
