Search Engine Optimization For Your Whole Site

Search Engine Optimization does not mean working on one page. Today’s web sites, if they have been thoughtfully designed, will have a home or landing page and many different pages that naturally branch off that home page.

One quote I read recently summed it up nicely:

[source]….Suppose you have ten different products. It may be difficult to get number one rankings for all of these products from one single page of your site. However if you make sub-pages for each different product and optimize those pages to highlight the particular product or service on that page, then those sub-pages stand a good chance of coming up in search engine queries. Remember, people do not enter your website only via the main page; rather they often enter via the “back” and “side-doors.”

Each page needs to have a search engine optimization program mapped out specifically designed for that page. Developed effectively, each page can appear on the front page of the search engine results pages for their given keywords.

Search engine optimization of individual pages can actually boost the rankings of the home page by using effective internal linking structures. Don’t just optimize your home page. Spend as much time on your sub page’s search engine optimization program and watch your rankings rise.

i agree that the internal links to a website are very important and should be strategically placed. To build traffic and maneuver it onto your site we can also try PR building tools like MyPRGenie (www.myprgenie.com/business/). I used it for my website and have seen amazing results within a week. Just a suggestion for people like me.
