How to Identify An SEO Cowboy

Everyone’s becoming a search engine optimization expert and its getting harder to identify the honest hard working true experts from the cowboy’s that abound at present. Hopefully some these tips will help to sort out who the real cowboy’s are - the people you need to steer clear of.

Door-to-door
- these cowboys park their horse at the top of the street and go door to door hawking their trade - in this case - web site to web site promising the world. The real search engine optimization professionals don’t have time to go looking for business - you have to find them. If one of these cowboys comes a knocking tell him to get back on horse and run him out of town.

Number one in Google in seven day or your money back. Most search engine optimization professionals can get your websites name to number one on Google - let’s face it - what competition is there for your name - there is something wrong if your website doesn’t show up very quickly. As to your money back - sorry - the next person ran them out of town.

Only $49.95 pay via PayPal only. Wow - so cheap. At a nominal $20 per hour that means, if your lucky, they will spend 2 1/2 hours working on your site. Come on - do you really think they do anything in two and half hours - except perhaps load it with a few links back the half dozen sites they have already fleeced today.

Cowboys belong down on the ranch - not in the big cities. Search engine optimization professionals will cost money but they can do so much to increase your presence in the search engines. If you are not prepared to pay for quality work, don’t pay for any. There are many sites that can show you the basics (ours included).

Use a cowboy and the chances are that over time they will do more damage than good and you will find yourself paying ten times their fee to repair the damage. Search engine optimization can be a tricky affair. Get an expert or get no one - don’t get a cowboy!
