Well, all resgistrars were allowing dot me registrations at the same time. You could get them at enom.com and other registrars. So someone can be typing it in at the very same time or seconds before you somewhere else.

Also, many of the best domain names will be auctioned off later so while they may have shown available at some point, they aren't letting things like seo.me go without making some extra bucks off of it.

That is not the way registries are supposed to handle things. It's supposed to be first come, first served, but greed takes over and ICANN allows it.

There are a lot of new tlds coming soon and ICANN is ready to allow their greed and the greed of a few companies screw everyone around then too. Something to get used to as long as ICANN is allowed to use anti-comptetitive business practices and they are allowed to hinder free enterprise.

Frontrunning makes registries money too and thats why ICANN has done nothing substantial to stop it.

I lost out inside.me earlier today during this whole mess. I realize with this goldrush type situation, first day of launch for the TLD, etc., it may be a bit overwhelming on their servers but come on... GoDaddy has really mucked this up
