I perform Social Marketing for clients and I always cringe when they want to include FB in their marketing plan. I recently had a client's FB get shut down and I hadn't even really done much with it. It was ridiculous. They agreed to open the page back up but wanted us to set the profile to "private" so that no one we didn't already know could find us...go figure. Of course, they have the "fan pages" that they tell you to use for promotion now but I won't get into that whole escapade. Long story short, FB is useless and a PITA and I wish everyone would just quit using them. I also wish everyone would quit thinking they're good for marketing - they're not and it's a waste of time.
