Links Or Keywords: What’s More Important?

Writing by Nick Stamoulis

We’ve all heard it said that content is king. There is an argument going around, and has been for a long time now, about what is more important – keywords or links. It’s like asking what is more important for the human body: Food or water? Well, you need both to live.

When it comes to website development, your website needs both keywords and links. You must have some kind of internal link structure. Otherwise, all you’ve got are a bunch of loosely connected single pages. But without keywords, true search engine optimization can’t take place. Search engine optimization relies on keywords and links working together in tandem for maximum effectiveness.

Instead of asking whether links or keywords are more valuable, webmasters should be asking themselves what they can do to maximize their optimization opportunities.
