Are You Branding Yourself Through Spam?

Aaron Wall says you should. Actually, he was just repeating 3Dog Media.
At best, 3Dog Media uses flawed logic. While this plan may have worked for BMW, it wasn’t a planned strategy. They just happened to have made out better in the long run because they drew so much publicity for themselves. If the brand was XYZ Company in Podunk USA, which happens to have a strong niche following outside of mainstream society then I doubt that the results would have been the same. 3Dog Media IS talking about BIG brands. Let’s put that into perspective.
What’s a big brand? Fortune 100? Fortune 500? Fortune 1,000? Let me assure you that it isn’t the small business owner who hopes to some day be a big brand. If that’s you, don’t think for a minute that this strategy is going to work for you. It will just bite you in the spammer’s ass.
