Google Site Search is a useful tool for helping you discover new keywords for your niche, business and your search engine optimization efforts. Be aware: Not every visitor will use it. In fact, most users won’t use site search, but you can get enough information from the users that do use it to help you determine new and useful keywords for your niche.
The Google Site Search interface has a useful tool that lets you see any developing trends in your site search feature. You’ll be able to see if users are finding what they are looking for on your site or if you are sending them off to competitors’ websites. Then you can take that information and create new pages for your website or tweak existing pages to target the keywords that people are looking for information on through your site search feature.
Another way to use site search is to take your high value keywords and redesign your link architecture to match the most valuable searches. The bottom line: Site search can tell you what is important to your visitors. It is up to you to give it to them.
