For me, the most important thing in SEO is link text on the inbound links a.k.a anchor text. This is the main influencer that bring out site ranking high on natural search.

Of course all aspects are important. Whithout a good design, website structure, relevant keywords u will never reach SEO success but for me the most important thing is link building.

All very valid points, great post nick. As we can all see there is no one element that is considered the most important to everyone, but they are all important in their own way.

I would agree that on-site keyword information, and the rest of your listed elements are on point. To the comments about the domain name being the most important, I would agree that the domain name is also very important, but I wouldn’t say that is the most important. If you rely on a keyword rich domain name alone, you are in for dissapointment when competing against the site that is actively collecting quality backlinks, building content, and is optimized.

As far as the SEO things are concerned The most vital part is the domain name itself. If your domain name itself is a highly searched keyword then naturally your website will have more chances to get indexed faster comparing to other complicated domain names.

Well, for me, we have to focus greatly on building competitive keywords and links–I think these are the most important. Precisely because, major search engines like Google employs algorithm/spider that is based on keywords and links and it plays an important role in optimization.
