Would You Give Up Sex For An SEOd Website?

An interesting survey Harris Interactive and sponsored by Intel shows that most Americans cannot live without the Internet. In fact, almost half would rather go without sex than to go without Internet for two weeks. The real test of whether the Internet is considered valuable or not is that 61% of those surveyed said they’d rather go without TV for two weeks than to go without Internet for one. I guess the Internet has come of age. But has your website?

If you are a webmaster or you own a website that markets a product or service then these numbers should be significant to you. The Internet is still in its infancy as a commercial tool. It will only get better and when it does we’ll see those numbers go up tremendously. Some day that survey will reflect 90% considering the Internet more important than sex and TV.

What that means for you is you have to give yourself every edge in the search engine marketing game that you can muster. It isn’t enough to have a presence online. You’ve got to have a strong presence and that means an effective search engine marketing program. Is your website SEOd? Is it SEOd strongly? If not, what will you give up to get it to where it needs to be to capture that audience that wants to give up the wild thing?

Haha, great question. If we could choose any niche that we’re in, then yes I’d swap 1 year of sex for a year of my best niche website being #1 in Google. The extra $2000 a day, would be very useful!!
