Is Keyword Density Important?
We're still always hearing people talk about keyword density, but I've never really considered keyword density a really important matter for search engine optimization. Whether you choose a keyword density of 1% or 6% isn't going to matter much in the search engines if you don't have a few other things going for you in your blog posts and web copy. So what other things am I talking about? I'm talking about keyword placement, which is infinitely more important than how many of your keywords are in your content. Again, keyword placement is far more important than keyword density. So where should you place your keywords? I'd say three places: Your URL Your page title Your headline These are the three most important places to make sure you put your CLICK HERE TO READ MORE...
Erotic Bloggers Working For Google Are Screwed
If you are a blogger writing adult content on Blogspot, a free blog host owned by Google, a new policy will likely shut you out of the search engine results. I've warned people against using Blogspot for some time now. Evidently, here's another reason not to use Blogspot, particularly if you are running a business blog. You may think that this won't affect your business, but what's to stop Google from instituting other policies that could have a similar affect on all businesses? Here's the issue: If you write adult content then children can access it - unless, of course, they have to login and "prove" they are adult. To make that happen, Google has had to install scripts to force people to sign in CLICK HERE TO READ MORE...

MSN Live Blackout On Black Friday
MSN Live had a black out on the business shopping day of the year - Black Friday. It's good customer service to be offering a cashback to customers who may have lost revenue due to the blackout, but the question that pops up in my mind is, if it happened once could it happen again? The MSN Live team says they are confident it won't happen again, but are you? I'm not. MSN Live has had problems before. They no longer report back links because last year they were hacked. That doesn't say a lot about the security or effectiveness of the website and it leaves little wonder why MSN Live is in third place in the search engine optimization game. Should You Seek Back Links From Low PR Sites?
Almost everyone knows that back links are important to a long term search engine optimization strategy, but there is some confusion about just where to go to get them. Well, you don't have to go far. In fact, Google your most important keywords and add "blog" without the quotes after it. Then start leaving relevant comments on the blog posts. Yes, it really is that easy, but be careful not to spam the blogs. Leave real valuable comments, not just spammy fluff. Should you be concerned with Google Page Rank? Not really. Low Google Page Rank sites benefit you too. Just not as much. The key is to build your back link arsenal. There really are two ways to approach building links. The new forum has several features that I think are pretty cool for a new forum: Analytics Help in Google Groups - This is a useful feature if you want to find previously answered questions. Can't find it in the new forum? Search here next. AnalyticsPros - Google Analytics has gone through the trouble of designating user pros who can answer your questions and they are identifiable. Just hit one of these people up for your most pressing in-depth questions of Google Analytics. Google Analytics Help Center - Of course, this is not a new feature, but it's a CLICK HERE TO READ MORE...
