Should You Redesign Your WordPress Theme?

WordPress is a popular blogging platform that is not only growing in popularity but that is also the most popular blogging platform outside of Blogger.com. One of the most important principles you should consider for any website is originality.
Off-the-shelf WordPress themes offer bloggers and companies who want a company blog a chance to have a good design theme without any cost or a lot of fanfare. Unfortunately, off-the-shelf themes do not offer much originality. But that is the least of the issues you should consider when deciding whether or not to redesign your blog theme.
More important than original design is how well search engine optimized your theme is and even more important than that…great quality, relevant content. Originality is important but if you have an original theme that is not well optimized then it doesn’t matter. That’s why it is extremely important to consider who you choose to do your redesign. You want your blog’s designer to have a good understanding of search engine optimization and an ability to provide you with a design that you can be proud of and help your blog get crawled, indexed, and ranked with the theme that you finally settle on.

You could have the most optimized site ever, but if your site looks like a horse’s patootie no one is going to stay and visit. I would say both parts are as crucial as the other.
1. I would say for ease use a template to start.
2. Then create valuable content.
3. Optimize your site.
4. Then create more valuable content.
5. Then go back to the design.
6. Then continue to create valuable content.
Optimizing I feel is a constant thing, so you always want to stay on top of it as well as the content.
Just remember that the internet game is always evolving, so you and your site should too.
