Can Press Releases Make Your Reputation Shine?
Online search engine reputation management has become a kind of a big deal lately. Not everyone is talking about it, but everyone should. And one of the things that can help you boost your online reputation is a press release.

Press releases have been used for creating buzz about a person or product for years. It’s mostly been in the off line realm, but press releases have been a popular edition to online marketing strategies for a few years now. And it seems they’re picking up speed. One of the most important things to think about when writing and submitting online press releases is that they serve as another means of performing search engine optimization, but it would be a mistake to think that press releases are all about SEO.
Press releases, whether online or off line, are publicity and promotion for a business, product, service and person. And publicity falls into the realm of reputation management. That’s why I recommend a press release to help you manage or create your online reputation. It’s an important piece of the pie, but it’s just one piece of the pie. Don’t leave out online press releases in your online reputation management strategy and as part of an ongoing link building program.

@Denai Vaughn – Thanks for your comment. For press release distribution, I use PRWeb, PRLeap, 888PressRelease and 24×7 Press Release, they all seem to work very well…thanks for reading!
@Nick
I’m about to release my 1st press release. Dumb question of the day. I should only use one of the press release distribution services correct? I don’t want to over submit my press release? Or do I submit the same press release to all of those release distribution services you listed at the same time.
Nick – I found you on linkedin. I’m glad we connected. You’ve got a great newsletter. I read it every week. Thanks
@Monica – Thanks for reading and your kind words!
I would recommend that you only submit your press release through one distribution service at a time. You don’t want to over due it with too many in bound links at one time. If you plan on using the press release for something big and very newsworthy then you may consider writing different versions of each release so each is unique…Hope this helps & best of luck!
Thanks!
