Do you ping your important blog pages so the search engines will spider all of your blog posts? You should. Pinging is a very effective method of promotion for blogs that allows you to submit individual blog posts or your blog home page to hundreds or thousands of directories at once. You can get a wave of traffic and boost the PageRank and authority of your blog with keywords that relate to your blog posts, boosting your search engine optimization efforts for your blog.
First, you enter the title of your page (make sure you include your keyword). Then you type of the URL of the individual blog post you want to ping. Select a category. Now submit. It’s that easy.

WordPress and most better blog platforms have a pinger service built in too. You can add the links from a good ping list like above and every time you create a new post you will ping all the sites in the list. The only problem seems to be if you edit the same post over and over as it will duplicate your blog pings and possibly get you banned for spam pings.
