Boston SEO Meetup – May Event Recap

SEO & affiliate marketing is ALIVE in Boston!!

BostonSEO.org held its monthly internet marketing networking event on May 4, 2009 with a packed room of about 90 attended from its 600 plus members.

The room had lively chatter about SEO strategies and enjoyed the goodies from the food sponsor, Michelle from Arlington Chamber of Commerce and organizer of the eBiz Symposium. Which will be holding its next event on October, 23rd, 2009. Search Engine Optimization Journal readers may recall that Nick Stamoulis from Brick Marketing was the guest speaker on search engine optimization at last years EbizSymposium.com

The guest speaker for the May Boston SEO Meetup was Amit from SuperAffiliateMindset.com and PPC Classroom. Amit is a super affiliate that has an interesting success story of earning 3.4 million dollars in affiliate commissions. He now is focused on PPC Classroom training program that affiliate marketers pay a monthly subscription to become members. I was supposed to have dinner with Amit prior to the event and thought that I got stood up by this affiliate millionaire. However, I was out of the office and didn’t check my email to realize that he couldn’t make it. Yet Amit was still late to the event which threw off the schedule a bit.

Amit did get to share his personal story of success and answer questions. He discussed not giving up and test, test, test as many PPC campaigns as possible. It took Amit 15 campaigns before he found a profitable niche. Once he found it, he focused on making it scalable to build his business.
