Is SEO A Viable Distribution Channel?
SEO is a lot of things to a lot of people. If you are a social media maven it could just be a mystery, or maybe a small little fact of life that you’d rather not have to focus on. Or it could be the world to you if you are a professional search engine optimizer or web designer. Maybe you don’t understand it at all and you’re just trying to figure it out. But have you ever considered that it could be a distribution channel for your business?
OK, what does that mean?
Glad you asked. Consider McDonalds. It’s a recognizable brand. They make hamburgers, fries, drinks, and other stuff. You’d recognize the big gold arches anywhere in the world. But they started in one location, with one storefront, and expanded from there. They built a process and once it was perfected, expanded it’s distribution to other outlets until they built a worldwide empire. That’s their distribution model.

Are you using search engine optimization as a distribution model? Are you building content, perfecting your processes, then distributing that content in various locations around the Internet as SEO? If not, why not? That’s what internet marketing is, isn’t it?

Good analysis. Boils it down to the essence and makes it very understandable. Perfect the system while small, then zap out and grow exponentially.
McDonalds is now at least Over 60 zillion-billion-trillion served. I have a way to go to match that. Got 87 articles on ezine.
Hi Lorraine – Thanks for the comment, you are on your way 87 and growing!
