3 Important On Site SEO Areas

Writing by Nick Stamoulis ShareThis

When you are ready to optimize your website – I mean, after you’ve rewritten your content 45 times and re-optimized it twice for each of those keywords (sense the sarcasm?) – here are three really quick and easy ways to add some high value on site optimization to each of your pages. Each is one line of code, but that one line of code can make a world of difference on every page. One thing to note, is these are 3 of the top areas besides your content, there are many other areas as well but that is for another post.

  • Title Tag – Almost everyone who understands SEO agrees that the Title Tag is one of the most important elements on any web page. Never leave it out. Always include it. And make sure it is short and includes your primary keyword. Secondary keyword, too, if you can get it in there. But it’s a well-known fact that a well optimized, well written Title Tag will improve your web page much more than anything else.
  • Alt Tag – How will the search engines know what your photos are about if you don’t tag them? They won’t. One line of code (alt=”keyword phrase”). Include this in every img src tag you have. It will transform your on site optimization like a robotic cartoon.
  • Canonical URL – This is an answered prayer to at least a thousand web developers out there. This one line of code tells Google which of your URLs you prefer to have indexed rather than simply leaving it up to an algorithm. One line.

If you want to supercharge your SEO easily and quickly, implement these three pieces of one-line code on every page of your website.

And while still a novice in many areas, I feel more aware now. take care and thank you again.
