How Can You Make Your Website User Friendly?
The catchword for today is “user-friendly”. You’ll hear webmasters say they want to make their websites more user friendly, but what does that mean and how do you do it?
A user-friendly website is really about one thing: Helping your visitors find the information they are looking for. What’s the best way to do that?

To start with, you begin building your website with keyword research and excellent visitor focused content. After identifying your most profitable and popular keywords, you then decide which pages you want to build on your website. But you should think about your website’s structure before you begin. Your internal link structure should be logical and your readers should find it easy to move from one page to another and find what they are looking for.
Once on a page, your visitors will want to know quickly whether you answer their questions or not. Try to think of a question that is posed by your popular keyword phrases and answer that question with the content of your pages, while accomplishing the goals of each page and the website (more leads, sales, etc.)
Having a user-friendly website is not hard, but you do have to plan it and work your plan with your long term and short term goals in mind.

Thanks Nick.
Your own website is a good example of user friendly. Everything is laid out well, there is a good amount of white space and things do not look real junked up.
The biggest thing that makes a website non user friendly for this user is one where you have to stare at it forever to find the most basic thing because there is so much packed onto each page.

Hi Lorraine,
Thanks for the kind words…I agree, creating your website so that it is not packed with too much clutter is very important!
