Your Links – High Quality Vs. High Quantity
It seems the big push among search engine optimization folks right now is to sell you on the idea that high quality links are better than high quantity. It depends. What's really important is the aggregate portfolio you build. That is, the highest quantity of high quality links that you can find. Let me try to explain this in simple terms: Question - Which number is higher, 1 + 499 or 200 + 300? If you said they are equal then you'd be right. And this is precisely what the argument over high quality and high quantity is all about. In most cases, SEOs are comparing apples to oranges. But put 5 bad apples on a table and 1 good orange next to it and tell me CLICK HERE TO READ MORE...
Will SEO As We Know It Exist In 2035?
Search engine optimization has been pretty steady for the past 10 years. But that's no guarantee that things will remain the same. And the way that things change online, you could see major developments appear almost overnight that usher in sweeping changes in the way that webmasters approach SEO for their websites. Or, things just may go on the way they are now indefinitely. Who knows? There has been lots of talk about semantic language indexing and natural language optimization, but for the past 10 years or so the primary component in on-page optimization has been keyword usage. Will We See An Increase In Twitter Spam Reports?
WebProNews paints a rosy picture of a new spam reporting tool on Twitter. I'm not so optimistic, however. Previously, all you had to do to report spam was to follow the @spam account and send a message to them about a particular Twitter profile to notify them of spam. A small discomfort, but it seemed to work. At least it worked for me. Now, Twitter has put a link on each profile's home page inviting people to report that profile for spam. I see room here for abuse. If Company A and Company B are competitors and Company A employs 150 Twitterers while Company B employs only one, things could get nasty if Company A decides to report Company B for spam. Imagine all 150 CLICK HERE TO READ MORE...
