Mark Drummond, CEO of Wowd talks about the importance of providing a search feature that is real time for the community. Internet users are constantly on the hunt for the most up to date information available online and it starts with being able to find and locate the information as quickly as possible. Mark emphasizes how users do not want to wait for crawlers to find information and display information it into search results that could very well be time sensitive. Online information needs to be rapid, quick and almost instant.

Real time search has not completely made it into its prime just yet but there is a massive push forward by many websites large and small to make it visible to the entire public. It is obvious that the end user wants information even quicker than ever before. People just don’t really want to sit around and wait for information anymore. I have a feeling that this is why Google is really stepping up their efforts on increasing the speed of their search engines and how quickly they display results and I have a strong feeling that this has something to do with really introducing real time search
