Blogging is a very long term type of activity that does pay off for most types of business, I would say that after 6 months of blogging if you do not see any type of increase in visitors from the search engines, you may want to look at doing some link building and promoting your website and business other ways…(which I recommend anyway!)

Good post. I find writing for a niche is very draining at times, but this will help as it is a reminder of what to do about it. I have had a website for 6 months and have been blogging regularly but sometimes wonder what it is going to take for all that content generation to pay off. Sometimes it would be easier having a blog as a hobby rather than as a way to drive traffic to a website.
