How to Create Cheap Online Videos

Writing by Nick Stamoulis

Posting videos online does not have to be a large undertaking. Some of the best viral videos have been the ones that are on the fly with very little production or editing. This won’t work for every business but for some it could spread like wild fire.

Here are some ways you can get those on the fly type of cheap online videos:

Cheap Video Tip#1: Give Some Cameras Out

Buy a bunch of those personal portable video cameras and recruit 2 or 3 employees that might be up to the task to carry around the camera around the office and catch something funny that might occur. Do this for certain time period and see what you come up with. At the end of the time period you could find that you might have some really good footage that you can then use either individually or splice together to create one great video.

Cheap Video Tip#2: Interview an Employee

A series of company interviews with certain employees can often times lead to great videos as well. This could work really well for you especially if you interview a client manager or an account manager that would be working with viewers directly. This could then be use right on the website along with sites like YouTube and really instill confidence in your potential clients.

Cheap Video Tip#3: Interview a Client

Some client really won’t mind getting in front of a camera and give you a testimonial of some kind. It works even better if you give them some incentive like a discount or a free service with the exchange of a testimonial.

Creating a nice video that spreads and bounces doesn’t have to require months of budget preparation and planning. Get some inexpensive recording devices hand them out and reach out to your clients and see what happens.

Very good points, but easier said than done! Also have to factor in editing and posting online. Though, are you implying just buying a flip camera, doing a still interview and posting it raw…since it’s more for web presence?

    Hi Darren,

Yeah, I know, sometimes creating a video is easier said than done! But at the end of the day, it should be about building your brand and promoting videos that have meaning to your audience that will view it…

Thanks for the comment & Take care,
    Nick
