Commenting on blogs in your niche can be great if you can remember to do it. The biggest difficulty is doing it with any consistency. But what about WordPress blogs where the standard default programming that comes with the software is “no follow” in the comments?

Great post! Blog commenting is defn an excellant method in developing a reputation as an industry expert. It gives you a knowledgeable online social circle to discuss opinions or have debates on certain topics which is priceless.

Through commenting on blogs, I have been invited to guest speak at many events in the Toronto Area so I lived a real example of this.

Great post – commenting can be huge when it comes to getting to know the bloggers in your industry. I recently wrote about how to use Blekko to blog comment, and I’m debating whether or not to post it on my blog. It’s mostly saying that Blekko can be a tool to meet new bloggers in your industry & comment on their posts before the vast majority, two things that can make a huge difference in building relationships & driving traffic. Thoughts?

Good article. I have begun to do this recently, commenting on high ranking blogs in my industry. In addition to the SEO benefit I receive from Google, it has proved to be source of referral traffic.
