Great post. I was just having this discussion via email with someone who found duplicate content from my website AtlantaDentalSpa.com They were indicating because of the duplicate content someonone had stolen from my site, that now I was being penalized for it by Google. Interestingly enough, they were actually selling a service for PPC campaigns…..ugh.

Great post Nick, hopefuly this latest publishment from Google will help people understand the real effects of duplicate content on SEO and maybe even halt a lot of the old debates

Google makes a very good point here in their final words – “You can help your fellow webmasters by not perpetuating the myth of duplicate content penalties!” So many forum posts debate on the good old “non existent duplicate content penalties” day after day.
