5 Things Ecommerce Websites Need
There are lots of ecommerce websites out there in today’s business world but only a handful of them become successful. There could be many reasons why one makes it over the other but the reality is that all the sites that do sustain consistent business all share similar features that are important for all future online growth.
1. Trust
You can’t just throw up some ecommerce pages to your website and all of a sudden expect sales to come pouring in. You have to build trust in your community and that comes in a few different ways. One is through badges on your site like the Better Business Bureau. If you are a member of any trusted organization surrounding any business practices display it proudly so others can see that you are a legitimate business. Trust is also built up naturally through online write-ups from other websites and blogs in your industry. If someone does offer a write up display it on the website so your audience can see it easily.

2. Smooth Checkout
Your online checkout process needs to be flawless and smooth in order to carry that visitor down the path to purchase. Your website visitor should not try and look for a checkout section it should be very evident on how to check out with a product in the shopping cart that your website visitor barely even has to scan the screen they are on to find it.
3. Call To Action Buttons
All buttons should be clearly laid out. “add to cart” “buy now” should be nice and colorful along with big in size so your website visitor wants to click on that button to keep the shopping process moving along.
4. Live Chat
For your audience to have the ability to be able to connect with your customer service department right there and then is an amazing feature. Your audience wants it to be as easy as possible to be able to communicate with someone if they have a question about a product or service.
Don’t leave anything out when it comes to building your website especially if it is an ecommerce site. Extra steps need to be taken when you have a website where others are pulling out there credit cards to make a purchase.
