What’s New in SEO for March 15, 2011
We have compiled the latest news and updates from the big three, Google, Bing and Yahoo as it relates to SEO and the search engines overall.

WHAT’S NEW THIS WEEK WITH GOOGLE:
Hide sites to find more of what you want
Google now allows users to block sites that they don’t want to see in their search results. If you’ve clicked on a result and it wasn’t what you were looking for and you click back over to Google to search again, you’ll now see a new option to block that domain from future search results. The link is next to “cached” and reads “Block all example.com results.”
WHAT’S NEW THIS WEEK WITH YAHOO!:
New Research – Searching on Glass
Not only are new devices like iPads, Droids, Blackberrys, and iPhones changing the way that we interact on the web, they are also changing the way that we search. Currently, 21% of people with mobile phones are searching on them, and this number will only increase over the coming years and mobile search will be a big part of search overall.
WHAT’S NEW THIS WEEK WITH BING:
Introducing Project Emporia Powered Matchbox Technology: News is Now Yours
Bing’s Matchbox technology begins to “understand” the Web more like a human might. It enables the search engine to make predictions about what the user wants to see.
