Create Online Conversations by Talking
We all know that social media and online conversations are very important when it comes to communicating your business message and building your brand online. Website marketing has changed over the years and businesses looking to make an impact online need to be able to communicate real time with their audience. That is the present and the future of marketing a business or website online.
Ask A Question On Twitter
People like to get involved with things especially if they feel like their answer will make an impact. Try asking a question in your Twitter stream that might relate to your audience directly. The caliber of question can really be anything you want. You can make it edgy or you can make it educational. It is entirely up to you.

Respond to A Facebook Wall Post
Maybe someone else posted something on the wall and you have a question or comment to ask them about that specific post? People don’t always respond right away but they might respond to you and start a whole string of other related questions and comments.
Leave A Blog Comment
Maybe you came across a blog post you really liked and you have decided to leave an educational comment. Either agree or disagree with the post and give your reasoning behind your thought process. This will usually trigger a comment string that trickles down even further over time. If you can be one of the first comments on the blog post you can often times generate a great deal of traffic. If the post starts to rank well and you are one of the first comments than you can really see that new traffic stay for a while.
Starting a conversation online is all about being personable in the search space and really taking a quality over quantity approach to your online marketing efforts. Success online really stems around taking a strong proactive branding approach and social media marketing and real time conversations play a heavy role in this area. Don’t worry about finding loop holes online to increase rankings rather take the time to find your audience online the right way.

If you have experience, so you can ask high quality question which will be cause many people notice it.
so you can make brand also.
I fully agree with what you say about online conversations, which should serve a great deal to building one’s brand online.
I would like to add a remark about respondents, persons that form an audience to a message. In this case, I think we can speak about online profiles.
As you mentioned Facebook, I remembered an account where Facebook posts about events generated simple likes, and no comments, even when they directly invited to conversations and sharing thoughts about events.
And I think in such cases it’s not only about building a profile… the online profile of a respondent is not defined enough to represent the person, neither is the lack of interest in the topic well defined or argued (likes and no comments couldn’t drive me think to something else…)
Maybe FB comments should sometimes be better oriented towards expressing real opinions, regardless of the ‘like’ button
Hi Veronica, Great points, thanks so much for reading and your comment!
Take Care,
Nick
Thanks so much, but i wish some of your articles came out in French….
Merci
Theres alot of oneway conversation taking place on twitter and it’s a real shame. I dont think that users are aware what it means to be apart of a social media platform. It should be educational, engaging and fun. Instead there’s so many sales pitches- it’s rediculous! It’s as though no one stops to listen- and it’s all about talking! Maybe if business listened more and engage through questions like you said then they would start reaping the benefits. Just my thoughts !
