Hey Nick.
Great article. Lousy content could be worse than no content at all! I've seen lots of $5-10 articles and they are so bad as to be cringe worthy. I'd think publishing that stuff would be the kiss of death for attracting readers. I once spent a lot of time cleaning up such articles for a client and most of the time I found it more efficient to just start completely from scratch. Trying to clean up their writing was a waste of time.
Thanks

Great article Nick!

As an independent SEO, I get a lot of work undoing the damage done by poor quality content. Panda is making me a very busy panda!

A 5$ article may sound like a bargain, but it's not. I have had to explain to many a dismayed client that "fixing" the damage done by bad copy will take time - even months!

My advice to anyone considering outsourcing their content is to ask for several client examples of a SEO company's work. They should provide you with links to content they have created.

Take the time to read a few examples. Chances are, if you don't find the content you are reading to be clear, compelling and interesting, your website visitors won't either.

The content produced for your company becomes the voice of your company online. Well-written content allows you to put your best foot forward - and make that all important first impression count!
