Hi Ken,

Thanks for reading and your comment.

Good, point, the article sites such as Hubpages, Squidoo, etc are a good place to start until you build up your brand and credibility within your industry. Performing guest blog posts do make sense, but I do not like the idea of exchanging blog posts, unless of course you have business relationship and there is a reason to do so. If you decide to go this route, then I always recommend adding "no follow" tags on any links (without abusing this as well, with too many links, 1 link in an author section is just fine).

Enjoyed your article. These are some good ideas and insights, but what about also posting your article in promotional sites like Hubpages, and Squidoo?
And while it would be Great to be able to guest post in some top industry blogs, you may not be able to get posted if you don't have a high traffic blog yet, yourself.
You can still get boost for your blog if you find another blog in your industry that has good traffic (based on your review of comments and discussions posted on their site), and guest post on that blog. You can even get more blog juice if you and the other blog work out an exchange of blog posts - mutually beneficial.
Thanks for sharing.
