Ways to Speed Up Your Search Engine Visibility

Search engine marketing is a process that incorporates many different activities and efforts. Search engine marketing is traditionally a longer process but there are ways to speed up visibility online while you wait for things to work on the organic side of search marketing.

Blog Post Writing and Submission
Writing blog posts and submitting them through a variety of social media channels can quickly boost your traffic while you wait for organic rankings. Not only will a blog post pull in traffic if leveraged correctly but it also drives power to your website along with the possibility of others bumping into that post in search results which could also bring in organic traffic. Sites like Digg, LinkedIn and Reddit are great areas to pull in traffic with your blog posts.


Twitter Following and Posting
This works very well when done correctly. Set up an automatic message saying hello to all new followers and start following others who follow your competitors. For the most part if someone is following your competition chances are they are your audience. Coupled with these efforts start conversations with your Twitter followers by asking questions and leaving behind links to your blog posts.

Pay Per Click Advertising
Sure pay per click might sound like an expensive process but it doesn’t always have to be. Trying going after some really less competitive keyword phrases and do an exact or phrase match in your PPC settings and you will be visible for some great keyword phrases without breaking the bank.

If you sit around trying to wait for when your website is going to rank in the search results for your keywords you might be waiting a while. Try thinking about other ways you can pull in traffic a bit quicker so you can gain some traction on the website. Waiting around is not going to build up your brand for you or take you to the position you really want to be in. Think outside of the box in order to acquire some targeted website traffic a bit quicker.

    Hi Nick,

    I have been using the first two on your list in the launch of my blog. The results have been pretty convincing. The days that I post and blog, submit it to social bookmarking sites and post it on my social media, my traffic definitely spikes. Stumble drives quite a bit of traffic, but I have found that the bounce rates can be pretty high.

    I haven’t jumped into PPC just yet, but when my content is a little bit stronger/more developed, I will certainly consider it.

    Excellent article. Those are definitely sure-fire ways to speed up the process. Especially social networking, as social networking is what everyone does nowadays and in the marketing industry we have to grow to suit what our audience want, and what our potential customers want. I think social networking is especially effective because it is a way of advertising to the right people, rather than old school advertising which wasn’t as targeted.

    Great Topic! I would advice to use Google connect, I had stayed up one night sending messages to friends on Google connect, and checked my site the next day and I had loads of visits. Plus subscribe to blogs and leave comments there. Twitter is the best way to get followers to your website, because everythings in realtime. You can have your followers at your site within minutes.
