Great Topic! I would advice to use Google connect, I had stayed up one night sending messages to friends on Google connect, and checked my site the next day and I had loads of visits. Plus subscribe to blogs and leave comments there. Twitter is the best way to get followers to your website, because everythings in realtime. You can have your followers at your site within minutes.

Excellent article. Those are definitely sure-fire ways to speed up the process. Especially social networking, as social networking is what everyone does nowadays and in the marketing industry we have to grow to suit what our audience want, and what our potential customers want. I think social networking is especially effective because it is a way of advertising to the right people, rather than old school advertising which wasn’t as targeted.

Hi Nick,

I have been using the first two on your list in the launch of my blog. The results have been pretty convincing. The days that I post and blog, submit it to social bookmarking sites and post it on my social media, my traffic definitely spikes. Stumble drives quite a bit of traffic, but I have found that the bounce rates can be pretty high.

I haven’t jumped into PPC just yet, but when my content is a little bit stronger/more developed, I will certainly consider it.
