Once bitten twice shy... this occurs the most in our experience. The version we run into most is where they have paid their web developer for seo; or worse another SEO company - sometimes incredible amounts of money and they have gotten little to no rank improvement results.

Another unfortunately common version is where they have paid for work and -nothing- was done. A total scam.

Most clients think these are one and the same. 

I disagree on the microsites opinion. There are lots of cases where these make sense and will rank well for keywords that the corporate site cannot or will not create content and optimize for. 

I agree that it&#039;s not a panacea and it certainly does not work for everyone!!]]></description>
