I monitored twitter for about a week to find out if there was a debat goning on regarding a specific medical product. This substantiated our theory that the topic was really hot amongst patients,GPs,scientists etc. Not to mention my arguments about the importance of a social media strategy.]]></description>

Couldn&#039;t agree more and in fact I started to trawl twitter, facebook and LinkedIn some months ago using the general &#039;flavour&#039; of topics to hone specific campaigns and as we all know specific = conversion.

I used a different tact by scraping twitter, facebook, Bebo (for youth markets) and then running the general content through a density check of my own creation. It works really well too! Well, it work very well when it works but when it gives you the wrong info it sends you off on a tangent if your not savvy enough to work it out.
