Thanks for sharing your thoughts and for reading. It amazes me as to how many people I speak with that re-design their website but don’t even think of SEO. I have even spoken to marketing agencies, AD firms, etc. that know how important SEO truly is and they don’t take the time to optimize their website. Or even worst a web design firm that states they offer SEO on their website and if they have a site that is not even remotely optimized…

I think Step 1 of a web site really should be: talk to an SEO.

I can’t tell you how many times keyword optimization (SEO) is thought of as an after thought. Business owners need to stop hiring a web designers first and thinking optimization is something you can bolt on to a site.
