Helpful post, good information. Out of all the possible subjects to write about, especially in the IM niche, I think the best type are anything having to do with "secrets" and "tips".

In my experience, these are two topics that are really good at getting people to come back for more. You can also add your blog post info into an auto responder follow up email series. Make all your posts do double duty!

Thanks Geoff for reading and your comment!

It is always the toughest challenge to really come up with new and exciting ways to share you knowledge (through blog posts, articles, whitepapers, etc.) for me that is still part of the fun! :)

You always write with purpose and sense, so once again thanks Nick, I've also tweeted this as I find on our site , Whitepapers/Blogs are very time consuming as I'm desperate to be both creative and intersting without the constant need to push the business down the readers throats. I also write articlkes for E-zines which is always a test as they don't and won't accept plugs and links in the body of the article. This makes you work harder but also creates a great sense of satisfaction that you have written something of value that isn't just another 'Ad' for your business.
